When Leah’s mum mentioned the idea she had for the birthday photos I did a little fist pump. I have to admit I do adore mint and pink on their own. Even better when we put these nicely together. When combining these two colors we can create a very happy and girly look. If we add to it a sweet cake and an even sweeter little person you have a recipe for very joyful images.
I had the great pleasure of working alongside Leah’s mum in designing the very important photo session. The details and props were picked with utmost care. The design part was as enjoyable as the session and images.
The cake was delicious.
And amazingly it was created by a non-professional baker! A family member does bake for a hobby and she created this beautiful and yummy cake.

The smash was an amazing way to get her in a playful and relaxed mode. I was able to capture these giggles as well as the serious and focused face. Leah was showing a range of different emotions while she learned via play.
Every little thing matters. I love capturing the little details. A close-up of a baby’s face or even these baby’s feet covered in cake. These birthday photos turned a huge success and Leah and her family will treasure them forever!
