What will happen to your family portrait in few years time?

digital gallery wall
Will your family portrait survive a digital extinction?Turn your family portrait into a timeless treasure. Have you ever flicked through a family photo album and loved every moment? Did you look over the family memories with your mum or maybe a grandparent, laughing and sighing at the memories? I wonder what our own children will have to flick through – a floppy disc or a broken USB? What about the pictures you have on your phone – how will they be reached? While our children are the most photographed generation ever, scientists say there will be few of their photos available for future generations. Why? Because the images are almost never printed. The digital technology develops so quickly that ways to store data soon go...

Ways to unwind – ideas for busy mum.

relax and unwind tips for mums
Yet another busy day whirs by. Did you manage to do anything for yourself? Or, was it another day when you juggled so many plates it’s a wonder they didn’t come crashing down? When everyone wants a little piece of you, you’re like a computer with multiple tabs open and running in your ‘browser.’ With kids around, your mind never goes on standby. Finally, it’s quiet. The kids are in bed, settled and asleep. How can we wind down and sleep peacefully? We know a well-rested parent can conquer the world (of tantrums, sibling wars, and school-runs). But, it’s hard to come by. Frantic to achieve deep restorative sleep and to let go of stress, I looked for a few things to help me to...

What do you do when your baby turns two?

My photography studio is a toddler, and I can't believe we made it! It’s surreal to think two years ago I wasn’t sure I could even do it. With my baby in my arms, committing to a commercial space was scary, but in my heart, I wanted to do it. Little did I know what I would learn or how I would grow as a photographer and as an artist, too. It was not only because I had a very young family that I wanted to create a permanent photographic studio. I knew it was time for space where I could prioritize my clients’ wish for exclusive baby keepsakes. I dreamed of shooting beautifully lit photographs that captured the tenderness of a newborn; the radiance...

Olivia’s first photos | Newborn photography Dublin

I meet Olivia just before the Christmas break when she was only 14 days new. Gorgeous little darling has watched me work with her amazing big eyes. Olivia was so alert for her age. At mum's request, we used a lot of pinks. It also was great opportunity to capture the priceless family photo of the new family. There is nothing as amazing as seeing the love and happiness that new baby brings into the world.   I hope these images are going to be treasured and loved for generations to come. The family legacy preserves with printed images.

Baby boy born on christmas day | Newborn Baby Photography Dublin

When I first heard from Tadgh’s mum it was said, he’s gonna arrive some time in a first half of January 2016. So little did we know and expected. I got the email on Stephen’s day, a second day of christmas with the amazing news, that Tadgh has made his appearance! Taking everyone by surprise, he arrived on a christmas day! What an entrance, I say. Few days later I met him, his big brother Jace and his parents for his first photo shoot ever.       He was absolutely scrumptious! He loved to curl up in the little ball. Photos like that are just priceless. Especially that stage passes very quickly and they discover a freedom of stretching.   His “big” brother himself was…
