Nan’s update of the mantlepiece photos.

When I meet Leo first time he just turned one. We had a cake smash fun session.  Leo was such a great little smasher (you can see the post about it here)

Sometime before last Christmas (2015) Leo’s daddy contacted me wanting to purchase a gift voucher for Leo’s granny – Nan.

I truly believe this is one of the most thoughtful and precious gifts you can give – the photos full of memories. I was really looking forward to the planned session.

We set the date in January to capture the memories. Nan lives in Donegal and she was staying with Leo and his parents for the weekend. She was a host of the house for the day.  We decided to start the photos inside with the possibility to go out as it was a gorgeous sunny Saturday.

For starters, we snuggled up in the living room and read some favorite stories. There is nothing better than stories with nana, isn’t there?

One of Leo’s favorite games at the time was role play at the toy kitchen. Nan’s got a lovely cup of tea, or two, maybe three…

We were shown the amazing speed the toy train can go when a little boy runs around the dining room. Giggles and music everywhere when Nan danced and played with Leo in the kitchen.

Next, we decided to venture outside. The day was beautiful. Leo loved showing Nan around. His neighborhood area was an ideal setting for taking these natural pictures for the family to treasure.
